Il Castello di Rapallo

“The Sea Castle is a defensive fortification in Rapallo, within the Metropolitan City of Genoa, built to protect the body of water near the Vittorio Veneto promenade. It is also referred to as a medieval castle, though this term is inaccurate since its construction dates only to the second half of the 16th century.

Inside, there is a small chapel dedicated to Saint Gaetano, built in 1688 with a characteristic little dome and bell, clearly visible from outside the castle.

It is the symbol of the town of Rapallo and has been declared an Italian national monument by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage.”
